A Comissão de Direitos Humanos da OAB/SE manifesta profunda indignação pela trágica morte de um jovem, I.S.N., alvejado por policiais militares ao sair de uma loja de conveniência na Zona Sul de Aracaju. Em nota oficial, a Polícia Militar alegou que o rapaz teria simulado o ato de sacar uma arma e avançado em direção à guarnição, justificando, assim, a ação policial. A perícia criminalística revelou que a vítima portava apenas um celular e alguns pedaços de plástico na cintura, e não qualquer objeto que representasse risco.
Este episódio lamentável revela a urgência de um debate sério sobre racismo estrutural e sobre o uso da força e a abordagem policial em nosso país. A Comissão de Direitos Humanos da OAB/SE reforça o compromisso de acompanhar o caso, exigindo transparência e celeridade na apuração. O direito à vida e à segurança são direitos fundamentais e, se comprovada a violação dessas garantias após os trâmites legais, especialmente por agentes do Estado, a punição deverá ser exercida com o rigor da lei.
Expressamos nossa solidariedade à família e aos amigos da vítima, que sofrem uma perda prematura e irreparável, ao passo que reafirmamos a necessidade de uma investigação rigorosa do fato, para que tragédias como esta não voltem a ocorrer, sempre prezando pelo respeito ao contraditório, à ampla defesa e ao devido processo legal.
